On 13–14 October 2026, the NATO Quality Assurance Forum 2026 was held in Bratislava, Slovak Republic, at the Park Inn by Radisson Danube Bratislava. The event was organized by Allied Command Transformation (ACT) and hosted by the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Centre of Excellence (EOD COE).

The Multinational Logistics Coordination Centre (MLCC) was represented by COL Marek Świercz, MLCC Deputy Director.

The Forum brought together quality assurance experts and education and training professionals from NATO bodies, Centres of Excellence (CoEs), and accredited Education and Training Facilities (ETFs). The event served as a platform for exchanging best practices, strengthening cooperation within the NATO Quality Assurance community, and discussing future developments of NATO Education and Individual Training (E&IT).

Key topics discussed during the Forum included:

  • Lessons learned from NATO course and institutional accreditation and re-accreditation processes.

  • Best practices in quality assurance across NATO Education and Training Facilities.

  • Review of the NATO Quality Assurance Programme of Work (POW) 2026 and planning for POW 2027 and 2028.

  • Development of NATO Course (Re-)Certification procedures.

  • Application of Artificial Intelligence in quality assurance and course certification activities.

  • Updates on the NATO Quality Assurance Specialist Programme (NQASP).

  • Quality Assurance support tools, including QA Hub and C-NAPSE.

  • Working groups dedicated to improving certification guidance and advisory packages.

MLCC’s participation in the Forum provided an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences with NATO and partner institutions and to contribute to the further development of quality assurance standards within NATO education and training.
