From 11 to 14 November 2024, the first Commanders’ Validation Meeting (CVM-1) for the multinational logistics exercise Capable Logisticians 2027 (CL27) took place in Vilnius, Lithuania. The event was organized by the Multinational Logistics Coordination Centre (MLCC) with Lithuania as the Host Nation. The meeting aimed to align the exercise setup, objectives, planning schedule, and Host Nation Support, and to finalize the Exercise Specification (EXSPEC). A total of 27 nations and 13 organizations participated, with over 950 personnel and 340 pieces of equipment tentatively committed. CL27 is planned as a live exercise (LIVEX) in 2027, focusing on interoperability, innovation, and sustainable logistics solutions. During CVM-1, the EXSPEC and Technical Arrangements were agreed upon. The next milestone will be the Initial Planning Conference (IPC) in April 2025. The event confirmed strong international cooperation and readiness to enhance NATO’s collective logistics capabilities.
